Richard Edwards is a Professor of Education and was Head of the School of Education between 2006 - 2013. He has researched and written extensively on many aspects of lifelong learning and educational theory and practice. He has been an investigator in a number of ESRC funded projects and seminar series, including Literacies for Learning in Further Education, Curriculum making in School and College, Ensemble and Code Acts in Education; Learning through Code, Learning to Code.
